Venice Yacht Club Here We Come!

It was so good to celebrate Kevin and Steve's Lonestar's Gold Loop finish
Always good to spend time with two of our favorite loopers
Just when I was think we aren't going on Moondance again, mom and dad surprise me with what turned out to be a short trip. They are putting stuff on the boat, I'm getting settled in and then they want me to jump off again...What the Hey?

Early the next morning, they didn't even feed me. Just walked me down to see Lonestar with Kevin and Steve since they were getting out with the high tide.

After saying Bye to them, the next I knew we were taking off this time with Ed Buns on board. Mom immediately fed me before we were out in the channel, so I was a happy camper and ready to play as we cruised across a very calm Charlotte Harbor. The dolphins were happy to play in our wake for awhile, but by the time we hit the Gulf, they were gone...Lots of fishing boats out on this beautiful day. Mom fixed them all breakfast sandwiches and fruit so they weren't starving either...

We were a couple of hours into the trip when Seahorse with Jan and North Shetter came flying past us...They cruise much faster than us so they were able to leave much later and still get to Venice Yacht Club before us. We laughed as we watched them disappear into the distance...Such a relaxing ride...I love hanging on the flybridge and watching the water go by...

Coming into the Venice inlet was so exciting, seeing all the people hanging on inlets walls and the beach...some relaxing while others were fishing...We passed by the Crow's Nest before coming to the Venice Yacht Club.

What a pretty place with pristine grass...and a nice dog run...I'm sorry I just couldn't hold it to get that for most of my time there... I really enjoyed being back on the boat and having 3 people taking care of me...Wonderful!!!

Ed is no longer a Cruise Virgin
Our dingy cruise around Robert's Bay and out into the Gulf

The famous Crow's Nest, it was so busy we couldn't get in for lunch

We had lots of fun there. Thankfully, when mom, dad and Ed went out for a dingy ride, they left me on board...I'm not a fan of that dingy!!! They brought me back some fantastic leftovers from their Yacht Club dinners...YUMMY!!!

Coming home they decided to take Ed down the ICW this time which took us longer but there is more to see...lots more osprey nests, brown pelicans, dolphins, fishing and pleasure boats and fancy and not so fancy homes...including nicely done double wides...

Denis helped us tie up and took me for a quick walk while mom packed our dock cart with stuff to take to our condo. I was getting really anxious to get out of the heat. Little did I know that Valerie and Tom's cat, Fred was there...He just loves to torment me, but I just ignore him...which makes him NUTS!!!

It's good to go but it's always great to be home again!!!
